A series of docs from a small town called Busunju in Uganda. Over the next year, People&Power will follow the changes in Busunju to build a picture of how development works on the ground in East africa.
Part 1, presenter and economist Samah El Shahat investigates what problems face economic growth in Busunju and finds George, a vegetable oil factory owner, who thinks Agro Business is the answer.
Part 2, Juliana Ruhfus, People&Power's investigative reporter goes under the skin of everyday life in Busunju. She looks at water, employment, road construction and the corruption that the decentralisation of Government has brought.
